Design Innovation at NeoCon 2009

Luminaire Exhibition & Reception Celebrating the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer

NeoCon is one of the world’s largest product design shows. To kick off this year’s show, Luminaire – the world-renowned design showroom – hosted an exhibition to honor James Dyson and the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer. Showroom owner and design arbiter, Nasir Kassamali, celebrated Airblade™ technology through a custom-designed exhibition showcasing the Airblade™ hand dryer as a finely-engineered product with unparalleled technology. Dyson design engineers were on-hand to answer questions and provide invaluable insight into Dyson’s innovative design and development process.

The event was attended by over 250 architects, designers, press and design enthusiasts. Among those in attendance were designers Yves Behar and Arki Levy, and curator of Architecture and Design at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Paola Antonelli.

The event marked a great opportunity for Dyson enthusiasts to learn more about Dyson’s design process, and for first time users to experience the Airblade™ hand dryer’s advanced technology.
