Team Member Award

Real Estate & Construction Review

Real Estate & Construction Review has awarded Adobe San Francisco the Green Building of America Award and Dyson the Green Building of America Team Member Award.

The Adobe buildings received Platinum and Gold LEED® certification for combining a myriad of sustainable design elements. These elements reduce the use of electricity, natural gas and water, while diverting most of the solid waste from landfills through recycling and composting. Cushman and Wakefield nominated Dyson for its energy efficient Dyson Airblade™ hand dryers which contributed to the Adobe project.

Highly Commended

WAN Product Award

The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer has been given a Highly Commended award by the WAN Product Awards. The World Architecture News Awards were established to identify and celebrate innovative building products from around the world and raise their awareness in the global architectural community. The inaugural judging session saw an impressive line-up of jurors matching the wide array of innovative products sourced from around the world.

Green Exhibitor Award

US Green Building Council

In recognition of our efforts, Dyson has won the Green Exhibitor Award for incorporating environmentally responsible practices and products into our display at Greenbuild. Organized by the US Green Building Council, Greenbuild is the world's largest conference dedicated to environmentally sustainable building and construction.

As part of our participation, we challenged ourselves to make the exhibit sustainable as well, matching our commitment to efficient engineering practices. We used renewable and low energy construction materials, chose transportation partners who use bio-diesel or alternative fuel, re-used materials and went completely paperless.

This is a first for Dyson US and we’re working to apply these practices in the future exhibitions, proving sustainable engineering doesn’t stop at our technology.

Best of Chicago Award

U.S. Commerce Association

Dyson B2B, Inc has been selected for the 2009 Best of Chicago Award in the Electric Dryers category by the U.S. Commerce Association. Each year, the US Commerce Association (USCA) identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

GOOD DESIGN™ Award

GOOD DESIGN

We are pleased to announce that the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer has won the prestigious GOOD DESIGN™ Award.

Hundreds of the world’s leading engineering and design companies vied for the coveted GOOD DESIGN™ Awards for 2008. The award is conferred annually by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design with The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Best Practices Award

North American Hand Dryer Green Excellence of the Year Award, 2008

The Green Excellence Award is one of Frost & Sullivan's Best Practices Awards; a research program that recognizes companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer was awarded the Green Excellence of the Year Award because we “surpassed competitor hand dryers in terms of efficiency” and we “resolved the issue of excessive landfill caused by using paper towels”.

Spark Design Awards, 2008

The 2008 Spark Design Awards put more than 360 entries under the microscope, with the best being selected by a jury of prestigious names in global design. Spark is a fresh, modern qualification system that recognizes new processes and technology and seeks to involve people and ideas from untapped sources. Designers from all levels and skill-sets are invited to participate, be they professional, novice or student. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer has been awarded a 2008 Spark Award in the “Industrial and consumer tools and equipment” category.

Energy Efficient Product

National Energy Efficiency Awards 2007

The National Energy Efficiency awards celebrate organizations and businesses working to reduce energy use. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer won the Energy Efficient Products (business to business) category. It was judged to be a “fantastic example of a product that has been rethought from top to bottom, delivering both energy efficiency and other environmental benefits.”

Carbon Positive Cutting Edge Award

South West C+ Carbon Positive Awards 2008

The South West C+ Carbon Positive Awards share learning and best practice in order to encourage positive carbon action. They aim to inspire others to act now, boosting the South West of England’s reputation for responding to the urgent challenge of climate change. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer won the Carbon Positive Cutting Edge award for businesses and organizations developing innovative carbon cutting solutions.

The Society of Food Hygiene & Technology Awards 2007

The Society of Food Hygiene and Technology works to promote high levels of hygiene in the food industry. The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer won the Best New Product award for being a “step forward from traditional electric hand dryers. It is simple, quick, effective and ultimately eliminates use of paper towels.”
